Bali

The land of the Gods.

Bali is full of wonder.

It is an Island that welcomes you with open arms, like a good friend does when you have not seen them for a short while.

It is a place that can change your future plans

and you may just decide to stay for an extended period .or not leave at all.

My experiences there have all been wonderful from great surf to friendly people .

The island has a spirit of enlightenment and the locals of the island share this sense of spirt. you can see it in their eyes a contentment and happiness.

The rice fields are a big part of the islands economy and food supply to the locals.

we discovered these rice fields and walked the land coming across the local farmer we were always greeted with smiles . we struggled to communicate as the local language is far from my native tongue of english , gestures and broken sign language was the best we could conjure. always a smile and a glint in the eye from a weathered ageing face of wisdom. was a memory i got to keep.

What grabbed some of my attention was the local market trader.it was fascinating to see how the locals transport themselves with their family members, plus the product to sell at the market place. I can barley stay on a bike by myself and here they are doing a circus act on a daily basis.

I captured a young local man fishing off the northern coast of the island , he allowed me to enter his space and document his daily ritual .the light was playing its musical symphony and in the short space of time he has already hooked is dinner and was off.
